KOALAS are a tough audience even if you are an international singing sensation.
Susan Boyle realised her dream to meet a couple of the cuddly creatures yesterday but they were too busy sleeping to turn on a cute show at Wild Life Sydney.
Instead, the kangaroos stole their thunder.
"Now you're talking; boing, boing!" SuBo said before delivering an impersonation.
Her child-like joy at hanging out with the local fauna was in contrast to her tired and emotional arrival in Sydney on Saturday.
The 50-year-old singer is a nervous flyer and cancelled a planned visit in May last year.
But she looked relaxed and happy yesterday after a day walking around the harbour front.
"It is great to be here. People are so friendly over here," she said. Team SuBo enjoyed lunch at Bondi Icebergs with her nephew Kevin, who came from Newcastle to see his famous aunt.
After her wildlife encounters, Boyle had some official duties to take care of at Aria restaurant - she and her manager Andy Stephens were presented with a plaque recognising a million-plus sales of her I Dreamed A Dream and The Gift.
Boyle enjoyed an exclusive Harbour cruise with Daily Telegraph readers today.
