The Daily Telegraph reports
MORE pictures have emerged from the set of The Great Gatsby, which was scheduled to finish filming in early December but is expected to go on far longer than that due to a series of delays.
The Warner Bros flick, which is being co-funded by the NSW government and is scheduled to premiere in just over a year's time, has added Centennial Park to its list of locations, with this makeshift house built there as part of the famed Jay Gatsby home that's central to so much of the film.
Meanwhile Baz Luhrmann's fifth major feature film hasn't seemed to have convinced some in the Australian film industry, with iconic ABC critic Margaret Pomeranz admitting to Confidential this week that she thinks the lavish, 3D re-boot could be "a worry". "Ooh, it's a worry because I loved the book," she said at Wednesday night's Inside Film Awards.
"It's like when you hold a book really close to your heart. And I read Gatsby again recently and it is such a different book to when I was younger.
"It is so beautifully written and you just want all of Baz's artistry to go into realising that beautiful story. But I think the casting should be pretty good. And the 3D possibilities will be interesting because (Luhrmann) is a visual artist."
