Kylie Minogue has been feted for her success with a place in the Australian Record Industry Association's (Aria) Hall of Fame.
The Australian pop star joins children's entertainers The Wiggles as the 2011 honourees, who will be inducted in Sydney on 27 November (11).
Minogue has been nominated for 35 Aria awards during her career and won nine, including three Outstanding Achievement prizes, while The Wiggles have also won nine.
And the Spinning Around hitmaker was delighted with the achievement, taking to her Twitter.com blog to write, "I'm honoured to be inducted into the Aria Hall Of Fame this year... Australia, see you soon!"
Blue Wiggle Anthony Field tells the Herald Sun, "It's such an honour to be inducted in the same year as Kylie. We're both proudly Australian. When we go overseas, everyone knows Kylie is Australian and everyone knows the Wiggles are Australian.
"You automatically think the Aria Hall of Fame is for rock and roll bands, so it's pretty incredible. It's nice to be recognised. We didn't expect it in a million years."
Previous honourees include Inxs, Ac Dc and Dame Joan Sutherland.
