The Daily Telegraph reports
JAMIE Oliver is finally coming to Australia to launch his namesake restaurant, six months after the Pitt St Italian diner opened.
Oliver is heading here for a five-day visit in the first week of March to launch his Jamie's Ministry of Food Australia and the restaurant, which opened in October.
He will arrive in Brisbane then spend two days in Sydney and two in Melbourne. The visit will coincide with major menu and wine list changes at Jamie's Italian, which owner Adam Heathcote said the Naked Chef had been keeping a close eye on.
"All menu decisions go through to him and he has final say," Heathcote said.
Since opening its doors, the restaurant has had long queues of punters waiting to get in.
"We have been incredibly surprised that people line up," Heathcote said.
