The Daily Telegraph reports
RENOWNED free spirit Sam Worthington has finally settled down - at his all-time favourite holiday spot.
Very vocal about being "homeless" and a constant "couch surfer" over the years, the The Debt actor has bought himself a home in Hawaii, his go-to destination for getaways.
Worthington, 35, said it was about time he set down some roots.
"I love it there - I love the people," he told Confidential yesterday.
"It's very laid-back and it's a really friendly place to live.
"I was going there quite a lot and my friend said, 'Why don't you just move there?' and then I did. I've got my own bed now."
Worthington added that it was easy choosing Honolulu over Hollywood.
"I would never live in LA - I hate that place," he said.
We hear Wortho has also shacked up with a lady love in Hawaii, but he wasn't giving anything away on that front.
The NIDA graduate flew into town this week to promote his new thriller Man On A Ledge, about a man who stands on a New York windowsill 20 floors up as a distraction for a robbery.
He is also expected to catch up with fellow Sydney visitor, director James Cameron, to discuss the start of the highly anticipated Avatar sequel.
But Worthington has promised his next sequel, a Clash Of The Titans follow-up called Wrath Of The Titans, will be better than its widely criticised predecessor - and so will his own performance.
"I was a f ... ing generic, bland, action dude," he told Moviehole.
"I was like a Barbie doll. And I didn't like myself for doing that.
"I dropped the ball."
