The Herald Sun reports

Keith Urban was by her side for the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, but when Nicole Kidman stepped out for a party the next day she was without her best accessory.

Kidman, 45, an ambassador for Olympic Games official timekeeper Omega, was at the opening of Omega House, an exclusive residence for invited guests for the duration of the London Games.

Looking chic in a black cocktail frock, Kidman walked the red carpet and happily posed for photos at the event. Urban, however, was mysteriously MIA from the function. Perhaps he was at home looking after the couple's two daughters.

Kidman posted a photo of herself and hubby Urban, from the London stadium the night before, on Facebook.

It was her first public appearance since news broke of her ex-husband, Tom Cruise's split with wife Katie Holmes.

She has been filming The Railway Man in the UK with her fellow Academy Award winner Colin Firth (The King's Speech).

Meanwhile, despite health problems and a disappointing Olympic road race, Australian Tour de France winner Cadel Evans was all smiles when he had son Robel and wife Chiara (inset, above) by his side.
