Jean-Claude Van Damme: It would be abnormal not to have had an affair with Kylie Minogue

News.com.au reports

So that rumour Jean-Claude Van Damme had an affair with Kylie Minogue, the one that makes everyone who hears it go, "Really? Him?". That's true.

Van Damme says so.

The action star reluctantly confirmed the gossip one more time while spruiking his latest action flick, The Expendables 2.

When asked by guardian.co.uk if he had a fling with Minogue while they were filming the 1994 flop Street Fighter, he tried to dodge the question but then offered up the gem that it would have been abnormal not have had sex with Minogue:

"Oh ... who said that to you? I tell you what, you should ask her. She'll have a better memory. I'm 51 years old, do you know how much I was punched in the face on The Expendables? No, no. No. And let's just say it happened, so what? Who wants to know?

"Sometimes you let go of stuff ... I don't know, maybe. Yes. OK. Yes, yes, yes. It happened. I was in Thailand, we had an affair. Sweet kiss, beautiful lovemaking. It would be abnormal not to have had an affair, she's so beautiful and she was there in front of me every day with a beautiful smile, simpatico, so charming, she wasn't acting like a big star. I knew Thailand very well, so I showed her my Thailand. She's a great lady."

Van Damme also told the interviewer that he was so "f***ed up" during the Nineties, doing bad things with drugs and drink, that he tried to get the same $20 million-a-movie deal that Jim Carrey was getting from the studios.

He must have still been high on Minogue.
