Australia's Guy Pearce has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his role as Monty Beragon in the television mini-series Mildred Pierce.
Pearce is up for the award for best performance in a supporting role in a series, mini-series or motion picture made for TV.
His British co-star Kate Winslet has also been nominated for a best performance by an actress gong for her role in the mini-series, with the show also picking up a nomination for best mini-series or motion picture made for TV.
Pearce is up against Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Paul Giamatti (Too Big to Fail), Tim Robbins (Cinema Verite) and Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family).
Winslet is competing against Romola Garai (The Hour), Diane Lane (Cinema Verite), Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey) and Emily Watson (Appropriate Adult).
Other shows in the best mini-series or motion picture for TV category are Cinema Verite, Downton Abbey, The Hour and Too Big to Fail.
The nominations come a day after both Pearce and Winslet picked up Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for their performances in the mini-series.
Earlier this year, the former Neighbours star picked up the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor for the same role, and declared: "It was delightful. I got to have sex with Kate Winslet many, many times."
The 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be presented in Los Angeles on January 15.
