WOMEN of Sydney, brace yourselves. The world's sexiest man (give or take a few) arrives in just two sleeps.
Taller than Tom Cruise and sexier than syrup, George Clooney flies into Sydney for a brief stopover ahead of his The Power of Collaboration address at Darling Harbour on Monday.
It is Clooney’s first major visit to Sydney and the women of the Harbour City are understandably excited at the prospect of seeing the world's most eligible bachelor up close and in person.
Organisers of the tour were either unwilling or unable to confirm whether his latest girlfriend, wrestler Stacey Keibler, will join Clooney for his three-day visit to Sydney.
The actor-director-writer has said no to offers to visit other Australian capital cities after recognising, we imagine, that there is only one city in the country suitably cool enough to sustain his vast talent.
Clooney flies in on Sunday and will appear at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at noon on Monday - the only surefire place his fans can hope to see him during his fleeting visit.
The two-time Golden Globe Award and Academy Award winner will speak at a lunch for which ticket holders are paying $1100 to hear Clooney discuss, in smoky tones, his humanitarian work and the way he has used collaboration, negotiation and compromise in his work.
The lucky Ellen Fanning will MC the event.
