Neala Johnson, The Daily Telegraph, reports
The Aussie actor talks about his connection with the martial arts world, being the worst surfer and getting recognised in Bali.
1. WHEN JOEL AND NASH EDGERTON ...
... saw an early cut of doco Fighting Fear, Joel offered to help find the film a narrator. He didn't suggest himself: "I had a feeling they were gunning for someone more famous. But it turns out we were all like clumsy kids at a dance - I wanted to say, 'Why don't I do it?' And they wanted to ask me but they were too shy."
2. FIGHTING FEAR FOLLOWS ...
... MMA fighter Richie Vaculik and surfer Mark Mathews as partying risks their careers. "Being that I had such a new connection to the mixed martial arts world after Warrior and - while I may be one of the worst surfers in the world - I'm really into surfing, it just seemed like the right fit," Edgerton laughs.
3. AFTER MAKING GATSBY IN SYDNEY ...
... then Zero Dark Thirty in Jordan (both out in January), Edgerton had a break in Bali. He was recognised "a little bit, but it's only ever a problem if people are really, really drunk".
