Batman has his Batmobile, Wolverine has a tiny blue car.
The X-Men star
was seen tooling around Bondi Beach in a vintage sky-blue BMW after enjoying a
day at the beach with his wife and two kids.
The car, which belonged to a friend, looked as if it wouldn't be able to contain Jackman's bulked physique.
Jackman tweeted a pic of his tiny Wolvie mobile with the caption: "Check out my mate mike's new 1956 BMW at Bondi beach. Classic!"
Jackman's new X-Men movie, The Wolverine, began shooting in Sydney yesterday.
Dozens of cast and crew members were spied on the shores of Botany Bay, in the city's south, in a makeshift Japanese prison camp.
Although Jackman was not seen on set yesterday, he tweeted: "We're on day 1 of shooting. Wolverine is back. so pumped about this one. felt so ready!!!! will keep y'all posted!!!"
Russian starlet Svetlana Khodchenkova is expected to be announced as Jackman's leading lady today.
The little-known actress - who is believed to have stepped in when Jessica Biel passed on the project - is widely tipped to play the villainous Viper.
Khodchenkova appeared as Irina in last year's Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
