The Daily Telegraph reports
Abbie Cornish could star in next year's remake of 80s cult classic RoboCop.
Deadline reports that the Aussie actress has been offered the lead female role in the film.
The Killing's Joel Kinnaman is set to play the title character, a cop who—following an incident on duty—is remade as the robot infused supercop.
Cornish is in talks to play his wife, who believes she's a widow.
A-listers Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight) and Hugh Laurie (House) have already signed on to the film, with Laurie taking on the role of main villain.
RoboCop is set for an August 9, 2013 release date.
