The Harry Potter movie franchise may be over, but it’s not forgotten.

The real-life twins who played Fred and George Weasley in the blockbuster films are in Australia for the Supanova Pop Culture Expo and will be presenting a screening of the final film – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 – at the Gold Coast Film Festival on the weekend.

An encore screening of the film will be presented by James and Oliver Phelps on Saturday to a cinema full of hardcore Hogwartians.

Festival director Casey Marshall Siemer said she was "thrilled" to have the twins appearing at the festival.

"James and Oliver (Phelps) are two of the biggest fan favourites in the Supanova line up, as well as being massive international stars in their own right.

"Having them introduce the screening is incredibly exciting and gives fans one last chance to celebrate one of the biggest screen franchises of all time."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 went on to break box-office records around the world when it was released last year and is the third highest grossing film of all time

It holds the record for the film with the highest opening weekend total at $483.2M.

The Phelps twins’ appearance tops off a considerably more high profile year for the regional film festival, which opens on Thursday night with the Australian premiere of Iron Sky – the notorious film about Nazis from space.

Chris Hemsworth’s new flick The Cabin In The Woods is also having its Australian premiere at the event, along with Daniel Radcliffe’s chiller The Woman In Black.

Ever wanted to roam the halls of Hogwarts or take a drive in the Flying Ford Anglia?

The film franchise may be over, but the magic will live on in the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London — The Making of Harry Potter, behind-the-scenes studio tours of the production site of all eight movies.

Opening in 2012, the walking tours of the Warner Bros Studios Leavesden will take fans on a journey through the reconstructed sets and soundstages, costumes, animatronics, props and special effects of the films, plus exclusive exhibits and hands-on activities. The days of boring museums are officially over!

Some of the iconic sets include the Great Hall, the Ministry of Magic and Dumbledore's office, while props range from the self-chopping kitchen knife (which visitors can play with through motion detection) to the original beds of the young wizards to Dumbledore's ancient library and collection of paintings.

Warner Bros has huge expectations it'll be a massive tourist drawcard, like the Universal Studios' The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, Florida.

"The tour promises to be one of the most exciting and memorable visitor attractions anywhere in Europe, delivering an experience never before seen by the general public," said Josh Berger, Warner Bros. UK President and Managing Director.

Tickets go on sale in six days' time, starting at around $33 for children aged 5-15, $44 for adults, and under fours get in free.
