Luke Dennehy, The Herald Sun, reports
Australian movie legend Bill Collins doesn't have much time for the modern movie.
"I see a few, but there are so many others to discover," he said.
"Movies from the '30s and '40s that are not seen much these days.
"They are much more exciting than people realise.''
Collins, who was awarded a lifetime achievement award at the Astra awards last week in Sydney, said too many new movies are just remakes.
"I see remakes all the time," he said.
"I've seen The Three Musketeers that I like.
"I don't want to see another one."
