In the late 90s, I organised a movie buff’s tour to South Dakota to the locations featured in Kevin Costner’s epic movie, Dance with Wolves. After setting up hotels, transport and organizing trip activities, I guided a group of movie enthusiasts from Germany, Holland and England through Indian territory in Costner’s footsteps.
We travelled from Rapid City to Deadwood and on to Pierre, past the Badlands. The 14-day Dances with Wolves Moviesite tour was a great success and lifelong friendships were made along the way.
The video (above) was shot in 1996 and used to promote the tour. It was edited for a French-speaking market - hence the French captions. The footage has survived the test of time, but the sound is far from awesome. Hope you enjoy the video all the same!
