Nicole
Kidman has reportedly gone to ground in a bid to avoid being drawn in to the
stunning divorce of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, while a friend close to the
actress says the former Mrs Cruise will "never" comment on the saga.
US entertainment site RadarOnline
reports Kidman, who was married to Cruise for nearly 10 years before the
actor filed for divorce, is steering clear of even close friends to avoid being
drawn on the subject.
"Nicole won't talk, wants her
privacy, wants to be left out of this and they (she and Cruise) don't speak
much," a source claimed on the gossip website.
"The communication between her
and Tom is very limited."
The actress, who was said to be
shocked when Cruise filed for divorce in 2001 - two months after they renewed
their vows - has kept a hugely low profile since Holmes filed for divorce from
Cruise last week.
"Nicole really does not want to be dragged into this or say anything to anyone," continued the source. "At some point though, she will probably be forced to say something, and she will most likely support Tom for the sake of their children."
However, an Aussie source close to the actress said Kidman has not and "will never" comment on Cruise's relationship with Holmes.
"That is not her marriage and she feels it has nothing to do with her," the friend told Confidential.
Kidman's Australian representative yesterday said: "I have no comment to make on Kidman's behalf."
